ABOUT US
In 1975, Dr. Benny M. Abante Jr. surrendered his life to follow God’s call—founding the Metropolitan Bible Baptist Ekklesia. What began as a small gathering in a humble Sta. Ana apartment has grown into a vibrant, global church committed to Soulwinning, Cheerful Giving, missions, education, and service.
Born in 1951 in Sta. Mesa, Manila, Dr. Abante has served both God and country—as a City Councilor, Congressman, and most of all, as MBBE’s Senior Pastor.
His faithful leadership reflects the truth that God uses ordinary people to fulfill extraordinary purposes, according to His perfect plan.
Celebrating 50 Years of God’s Abundant Blessings
This year marks MBBE’s 50th Golden Anniversary—a celebration of God’s unfailing faithfulness. With the theme, “Built on Faith, Sustained by Grace,” we honor five decades of ministry, growth, and impact for Christ. From our first Sunday service to our present-day multi-faceted ministries, we stand as a testimony of what God can do through surrendered lives and an Ekklesia anchored in His grace.
